Amber Watts, PhD is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychology at the University of Kansas and a Research Fellow of the KU Alzheimer's Disease Center. Dr. Watts earned her PhD in Gerontology from the Davis School of Gerontology at the University of Southern California in 2009, where she was a Ruth L. Kirschstein pre-doctoral fellow. She is the director of the BRANCH laboratory (Behavioral Research in Aging Neuroscience Cognition and Health) at the KU Lawrence campus. Her research investigates health behaviors, prevention strategies, and bio-behavioral processes associated with cognitive decline and dementia. At the KU-ADC, Dr. Watts runs several investigator-initiated studies and serves as a liaison between the data core and other research investigators to facilitate data requests.
